Clay Plaster Regulates the Humidity

Rooms surrounded by clay building materials usually have a constant air humidity of 45 – 55%. On an annual average, they often have only fluctuations of max. 5% and are thus in the optimal range from a medical point of view. With its high sorption capacity, loam is able to quickly bind water vapor from the air and release it again if necessary. The sorption capacity of clay exceeds that of other building materials in some cases many times. This results in a significant improvement in the indoor climate, which is perceived by people as particularly pleasant and comfortable.
